Upon arising, we quickly showered (The campers had thinned out quite a bit with the worsening weather) and set out to town. After breakfast at the golden arches and a stop to return my unused swimsuit, we found a mechanic willing to check our "check engine" light. It turned out to be due to a bad camshaft sensor, which we purchased in case it went out. We debated whether the weather would prevent us from going to Palo Duro Canyon, but decided to press on. We reached Jonesboro an hour to the north, before we stopped to get gas and I check my cell phone messages. Upon doing so, we discovered that the campsite had called to inform us that the park was closed with 6" of snow. We turned the car around and returned to Austin, arriving around 5 pm. As it was too late to find another campsite that night, we stayed with Jen's mother, renting "Bubbahotep" and watching it accompanied by several beers. We planned one final outing to Longhorn Cavern and Enchanted Rock before we went to bed that night.
