Jen and I decided to spend the 4th of July holiday hiking in the Guadalupe Mountains in New Mexico.  We also made a road trip further west out to the White Sands Missile Range and national monument, as well
to Carlsbad Caverns.  Finally, we wrapped it up with a hike into the mountains themselves from Dog Canyon, going to the Mescalero campground and back.
