Day 6 Summary

The relatively quiet Roaring Mountain. Mt. Everett sat north of Mammoth Springs. The wonderfully phallic Liberty Cap.
Palette Springs colored the whole hillside. Minerva Terrace had run dry in recent years. However, a new terrace blossomed on the other side.
Gazing into one of the terrace pools... Another pool contained whispy fibers. A view of the valley below, with the old fort buildings.
A valley east of Mammoth Springs. We saw the top of Tower Falls before heading back. Large algael mats surrounded Grand Prismatic Geyser.
Excelsion Geyser was huge and steaming, making photographing it difficult. We went by the Fountain Mud Pots on the way to Old Faithful. A buffalo corpse awaited us there!
The vivid Morning Glory Pool. Mom waited patiently by Daisy Geyser, but it didn't feel like erupting. Grand Geyser erupted on the way back.
