Yellowstone Backpacking (August 2021)

We woke to a lake and campsite shrouded in thick fog. After packing our camp, and having a little instant coffee, we set out on our return trip.
The fog lasted until about half way, which is also where we encountered the hill over the lake. Uphill was a good bit more difficult at 8000' of
elevation, and I had to stop several times on the ascent.

We had run out of sunscreen, and I was already quite burnt, so we stayed out of the sun as muc has possible and made good time back. It was
approximately 8 miles in 3 hours. We loaded up our car and headed south towards Jackson. There, we checked into the Motel 6 (Well, after some pizza and
beer) and showered, dressed our wounds and such, before spending the evening making the rounds at the local microbreweries. We eventually ended up
at a cowboy bar downtown, before taking an Uber back to the hotel.
