Yellowstone Backpacking (August 2021)

We awoke to a somewhat wet and cloudy day after the storms had gone through, and headed next door to the same
restaurant (Branding Iron) that we had visited yesterday, as breakfast options were limited. Our first hike of the day was
Bucking Mule Falls, and we headed up into the Big Horn mountains for that. After Google led us down a mud road that
wasn't really passible in our vehicle, we found another way through and got to the trailhead. The storms were blowing in from
the east, and we were lightly rained on the entire time. Both myself and Drew had some rain jackets, but Richard just
had a regular pullover, and was a bit cold by the time it was all through. We passed one group out riding on the trail.
By the time we had returned, the storms had mostly moved west... but that was where our next hike was. Not wanting to get rained
on further (and not having much in the way of lunch options in Lovell) we decided to change plans, and go east to the Little Big Horn
battleground, before heading up to Billings on I-90. The battleground was nice, but relatively compact and easy to see, and we
made it into Billings before it got too late. Our stop, once we were in there, was the Last Change Pub & Cider Mill, which had
both great cider and a great selection of ciders.
